Every artist has a past behind him, on any artist there is a burden of a more or less internalized tradition, absorbed, sometimes even without knowing it, by the mere fact of assimilation and exercise of his profession. Art is an unlimited field of possibilities, and in art the taste is personal, being arbitrarily influenced by society, but which is formed over time, depending on context, the environment in which you are born, you live and you mature. David Croitor has carefully stored into this album a series of his most precious memories. He outlined them as best as he felt, more deeply, and in some cases transposed in an image there will be some ideas from his diary, carefully laid out in order to better understand the complex personality of this painter.
David Croitor is a constant, stable, self-taught artist, loial to his style and to the places he lives, works and creates, offering authenticity to everything he creates. The painting suite is a whole palette of colorful, light and candle-filled states of soul, which we can also enjoy through this art album.
David Croitor’s creation is so congenial, kind, from first contact, and this is due to the technical certainty and elegance of the representation, which makes it easy to transmit emotions without hesitation. Unity and complexity are defining elements of any artistic work, and the measure of an art object is often the result of the artist’s ability to combine the elements of his work into a unified whole with the imagination that adds variations within the basic unit. For the plastic artist there is always the issue of interpreting forms and colors in the sense of conceptual perception, this is necessary because, through vision, the artist is personal, not necessarily through subject. The infinite number of themes number are as old as the world, what he (the artist) is always renewing is the way (manner) in which they are presented.
Sensibility dominates all qualities of the artist David Croitor and through it he reveals the intimate sense of nature. It is noticed that the artist prefers predominantly unanimated nature, the interiors, the dead nature, the landscape, although rarely a figure is isolated in the picture, yet it is enlightened with the same importance as the surrounding objects. At the same time, his predilection towards the sensible flow of flowers is highlighted, and their play is distinguished between appearance, delicate essence and ephemeral source. The artist is closer to the nature, to which he remains conscientiously faithful, and he conceives in her contemplation, every painting he has to do, to an extremely high degree, with vigorous, safe and rich touches that stand out through image density, compositional balance, strong brush, consistent forms of color, shadow and light contrasts that create a special plastic vision.
