I am a Visual artist and art trainer. I was born with the talent of art in Gujranwala where I got my basic education. I always have new ideas of clearing the vision of one to see my life through painting. I used to draw things as I see them in real but that time I didn’t realize this beautiful skill me to play using fingers with colors in nature and those in my imaginations. I wasn’t being encouraged by family to draw things with colors because as a common custom they wanted to be a common educated girl having an ordinary job which meant successful for them while that wasn’t my dream. I’ve been through very hardships to keep my dream on with me besides my regular studies till I reached after high school when I start realizing my dream when I moved to Lahore, where I have got a Diploma in Ceramics and also completed my graduation in 2013 from Punjab University College of Arts and Design.
Right after getting the Diploma from National College of Arts, I started working as an artist with different galleries in Lahore and found myself growing fast and became a professional artist.
I mostly do oil painting and basically I love painting nature. I always feel creative energy flowing out, urging me to express myself using my fingers instead of using brushes, which is not so common. In 2017 I got distinction in MFA Visual Art along with that I kept working on different art projects.
My first inspiration always remained nature. Coral Reefs is my great inspiration, having deep interest in coral habitats at the ocean floor which I relate to the transgender specially in our society where they do not have same social value as others. Through my art, I want to invent a new way to find social equality for transgender in our society. For them I used to say, “I have a drop of knowledge and passion in my soul, let me dissolve it into the sea.”
I’ve got young Artist of the year Award from the Alhamra Art Council in 2016, I also have been awarded as an Artist of the Year by Voice of Pakistan. My painting have been exhibited in different countries while I have been part of several group exhibitions in well known Art Galleries in Pakistan.
When I start painting I do paint directly with Tube or dry paint and once I put the colors on the canvas, I start feeling it and i create the texture using my fingers with the direction of my soul. Colors are as important in my life as I could never imagine living without them.
My body of work expresses my deep interest in the coral habitats at the ocean floor which I relate with the one of liked topics, Transgender community, by the perception of the Third Color of the ocean floor. The study explores that transgenders have all the emotions and feelings that are indication of colorful and vibrant life but it’s only their genetic, biological condition which makes them different in society which doesn’t really matter to seek for divine love.
I am really inspired by human creation and first ever relationship of two souls “Adam and Eve”. The way God created them and the way they started their life in heaven with highly pure and loving spirits with such innocence that we are unable to find today. I want to paint unintentional and intangible affiliation between soul mates. Art and nature is like a soul and body. I have manifested it through my work. I love saying “Let the soul speak with the silent articulation of face”.
Human body and soul struggles to find destinations with their experiences and limitations. Our realities are deceptive for others, like corals in the sea.
